To recognize the National School Lunch Program, serving nearly 30 million children each day, GCPS will celebrate National School Lunch Week from October 10-14, 2022. The fun and creative campaign theme, “Peace, Love & School Lunch,” highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to a student’s success both in and out of the classroom. Research shows children are getting their healthiest meals at school. National School Lunch Week will highlight the nutritious foods available daily at schools. To celebrate the “Love of School Lunch,” we are hosting a menu contest. We encourage students to submit some of their favorite menus from home. Selected menus will appear on future menus this school year. Winners will receive Cafeteria Cash to be used in their Cafeteria to receive snacks. So get those cookbooks out and get your menus submitted!
