Dear Abingdon Families,
We hope you had a wonderful and relaxing summer! Our staff and teachers have been working hard to prepare for an amazing school year!
Please make school a priority. Try to schedule appointments at the beginning or end of the school day to limited loss of instruction. We need our students here to receive the best education. Make sure you are knowledgeable of the new attendance policy in the Code of Conduct which can be accessed on the GCPS website. Medical and or parent excuse notes for absences must be received within three days of return to school.
We know that together we will make this year one of growth; academically, emotionally, and socially for all children. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child please reach out to their classroom teacher or school counselor.
To prepare for the upcoming change of season don’t forget to label your child’s belongings to include; backpacks, lunchboxes, jackets, etc. Our lost and found is always full of items with no names. If your child has lost an item remind them to check the lost and found located by the office.
